About Rentenfenster

Radif Partners

Publisher of German pension calculators: start date by year of birth, reductions, net pension, survivor's pension

Rentenfenster is published by Radif Partners, an independent publisher of calculators. It started with the German search results for “Rente mit 63”: one page put the reduction for retiring two years early at 14.4%, another turned a loss of €27 a month over twenty years into €648,000, a third wanted an appointment before showing any result. None of them said what the pension commission’s proposal of 23 June 2026 would mean for a given birth year. For people from abroad who have worked in Germany, the English-language options were thinner still.

What this site sets out to do better than the top result

In one connected set of calculators, with sources and dates, it works out the start month and the reduction for every birth year and pension type, then the gross pension from your pension points at the €42.52 pension value, the net pension after health and care contributions and the taxable share for your start year, and the widow’s pension after the income test, and it shows next to current law what the commission proposal would change. No sign-up, no phone number, no call back.

How it is checked

The basis is SGB VI, the Income Tax Act, SGB IV, SGB V and SGB XI as published on gesetze-im-internet.de, and the values of the German Pension Insurance and the Labour Ministry. Every row of the statutory age tables, the tax schedule at its zone boundaries and the survivor allowances run as automated tests; a value that drifts stops the release. How each figure is produced is set out under how we calculate.

What we are not

We are not the Deutsche Rentenversicherung and have no link with it, we are not a registered pension consultant, an insurer or a financial salesman. We give no individual advice and refer nobody anywhere. Only your pension decision letter is binding; the pension insurer’s advice centres help free of charge, in German and often in English.

Funding and your data

The calculators are free. Your date of birth, pension and income stay in your browser. If the site ever shows advertising, it will never sit above a calculator or inside a result.

Written for people working in Germany

The English pages are not a word-for-word translation. They explain the German terms on first use, keep amounts in euros, and go further on the points that matter to expats: periods in other EU countries, a pension paid abroad and the refund of contributions when you leave.
